Day-by-Day Itinerary

Day 1  Kathmandu to Bali | Arrival

Depart Kathmandu on a connecting flight to Ngurah Rai International Airport, Bali (DPS). Connections are typically via Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, or Bangkok  total journey time 6 to 9 hours depending on routing.

On arrival, your Guru Travels representative meets you at the airport and transfers you to your hotel in Seminyak or Kuta. The rest of the day is free  walk to the beach, watch the sunset from Petitenget Temple or Double Six Beach, and acclimatise to Bali time.

Day 2  Bali | Ubud Cultural Tour

Full day in Ubud  Bali's cultural and artistic heartland, set among terraced rice paddies in the island's highland interior. Ubud sits at approximately 300 metres above sea level, noticeably cooler and greener than the beach areas.

•        Tegalalang Rice Terraces  the iconic cascading rice paddies photographed on every Bali travel guide. Best light for photography in the morning before 10:00 AM.

•        Ubud Monkey Forest  a sacred forest sanctuary home to over 700 long-tailed macaques, set around three Hindu temples dating to the 14th century.

•        Ubud Royal Palace (Puri Saren Agung)  the residence of the Ubud royal family, with beautifully carved gates and traditional Balinese architecture. Open to visitors daily.

•        Traditional Kecak dance performance (evening optional)  Bali's most famous ritual dance, performed at Uluwatu or Ubud with fire and a cast of 50+ chanting performers. One of the most arresting cultural performances in Asia.

Day 3  Bali | Temples, Volcanoes & Beaches

Today covers Bali's most dramatic landscape and its most iconic temple  a full day from volcanic crater rim to clifftop ocean temple.

•        Mount Batur (Kintamani)  an active volcano at 1,717 metres with a vast caldera lake (Lake Batur) below it. The viewpoint at Kintamani gives one of the most dramatic panoramas in Indonesia  the black volcanic cone rising from the crater with the turquoise lake at its base. Sunrise trekking (2:00 AM start) is available for the adventurous as an optional upgrade.

•        Tirta Empul Temple  one of Bali's holiest Hindu temples, built around a natural spring believed to have been created by the god Indra. The purification pools (tirta) are still used daily by Balinese Hindus for ritual bathing  an extraordinary sight and a genuinely moving experience.

•        Tanah Lot Temple  perched on a sea rock offshore, accessible at low tide, Tanah Lot is Bali's most photographed temple and one of the most striking sunset viewpoints in Southeast Asia. Arrive by 4:30 PM for the best light.

Day 4  Bali | Uluwatu, Beaches & Free Time

The Bukit Peninsula in southern Bali is home to Bali's best surf beaches and its most dramatic clifftop temple. Today balances sightseeing with free time to relax before leaving for Singapore tomorrow.

•        Uluwatu Temple (Pura Luhur Uluwatu)  one of the six key spiritual pillars of Bali, built on a sheer 70-metre cliff edge overlooking the Indian Ocean. The temple itself is sacred and attended by grey macaques  keep sunglasses and phones secure. The clifftop views are extraordinary.

•        Jimbaran Fish Market & Beach  Jimbaran Bay is famous for its fresh seafood warungs (small restaurants) set directly on the beach. Lunch here  grilled fish, prawns, and squid with sambal and rice, tables on the sand  is one of the classic Bali experiences.

•        Seminyak or Kuta Beach  free afternoon at the beach. Seminyak has Bali's best beach clubs; Kuta is the most famous surf beach. Your guide will recommend based on your preference.

Day 5  Bali to Singapore | Arrival + City Orientation

Morning flight from Ngurah Rai Bali (DPS) to Singapore Changi Airport (SIN)  approximately 2.5 hours, one of the world's most punctual routes. On arrival, clear immigration and transfer to your hotel in the city centre (Bugis, Clarke Quay, or Orchard Road area).

Afternoon: Singapore city orientation walk  Merlion Park and Marina Bay for the iconic skyline views, followed by a walk along the waterfront promenade. In the evening, take the MRT to Little India or Chinatown for dinner  Singapore's hawker centres are UNESCO-listed and serve some of the best value food in Asia.

•        Merlion Park  the half-lion, half-fish statue and the Marina Bay skyline behind it is Singapore's defining image. Best photographed at golden hour (6:00–7:00 PM) or after dark with the city lights.

Day 6  Singapore | Full Day City Tour

Full day exploring Singapore's most distinctive neighbourhoods and landmarks  a city that packs an extraordinary amount of diversity into 728 square kilometres.

Day 7  Singapore to Kathmandu | Departure

Best Time to Visit Bali and Singapore from Nepal

June to October is the best window for both destinations simultaneously. Bali's peak season (July–August) coincides with Dashain holidays for Nepali travellers, which is why these months book out fastest. Book at least 6 to 8 weeks in advance for peak season departures.
