After countless nights studying hard to get good grades on your exams, you deserve a break. A break to chill out with your family and friends will certainly help you let go of the stress you’ve been carrying in the past months. It will also enable you to focus on the next important things in life.

It is always a good habit to travel after you have been through a stressful and tiring phase of your life. Getting a new perspective on life and catching up to what your friends and family are up to is also a great motivation to travel.

If you’re looking to travel internationally after your exams, we have 3 best places to visit after the exam.

  1. Thailand
  2. Dubai
  3. Muktinath

Thailand

Thailand is a beautiful country located in south-eastern Asia. Thailand is one of the most-preferred tourist destination in the world for all age groups. Usually, the most visited cities are Bangkok, Pattaya and Phuket. However, there are other less popular locations as well which are worth the visit like Surin, Ayutthaya, Sukhothai, Phetchaburi, etc.

Pattaya and Phuket are massively popular for water sports such as Scuba Diving, Underwater Walking, Jet Skiing, Kite Boarding, Surfing, Sea Kayaking and many more. They are also known for safer water sports at water parks. You can also take boat trips to islands and enjoy the scenery. They also offer night stay packages with good food and great parties. Phi Phi island, James Bond island and Phang Nga Bay are some known trips you can choose from. You can just lie around at the beach if you’re not looking for anything adventurous in Thailand.

Thailand is also a major trading centre with many street markets. Chuatak Weekend Market in Bangkok and Walking Street in Pattaya are two most popular ones. Meanwhile, there are floating markets as well where you can find shops on boats floating through the river. It is a unique site with many quality souvenirs, clothes and antiques.

While you’re enjoying the water adventure and markets, do not forget to see some of the best monuments in the world like Sanctuary of Truth, Upside Down House, Grand Palace and many more.

Dubai (UAE)

Dubai is a popular and one of the most renowned tourist destinations to enjoy your vacations after exams. Dubai is one of the leading cities in the UAE for tourism, business and trade.

You can go for a desert ride to the Arabian desert and can enjoy the rare iconic views of the dry desert in front of you. Or book for a night stay in the desert in a private tent partying with barbecue, music and dancing. You can also opt for adventure sports like sand skiing and sandboarding during the desert ride.

Dubai is also home to some of the most unique monuments in the world like Dubai Miracle Garden, Dubai Museum, Grand Mosque and many more. The tallest building in the world, Burj Khalifa, is also in Dubai.

If you just want to relax and do not want to go around much, you can relax at the beach watching the waves. Also, check out the Aquaventure Waterpark and Dubai Aquarium if you’ve got enough days left.

Muktinath

If you’re low on budget and looking for some local destinations, look no further than a Muktinath trip. It is a complete trip that gives you religious vibes, some feeling of adventure and relaxes you from the hustle bustle of the city life.

There are many ways you can reach Muktinath: Road, Flight and Trekking.

By road, it takes 2 days from Kathmandu. By flight, it takes 4-5 hours to reach Muktinath from Kathmandu. It takes 30-40 minutes to reach Jomsom from Kathmandu via flight. Then, you can take a jeep from Jomson to Muktinath.

By trekking, the number of days depend on a number of factors: starting point, route you take,  and pace at which you walk. Muktinath is a sacred temple in Hinduism and Buddhists. It is considered a Shakti Peeth. Shakti Peeth are places where parts of Devi Sati fell as Lord Shiva wandered carrying her.

Other than religious importance, you can view gorgeous Mount Dhaulagiri, Nilgiri and Annapurna range throughout the trip. Muktinath is situated at an altitude of 3800 metres which is quite an altitude for non-hikers and difficult to achieve. Reaching this height can satisfy some of your adventure hunger.

As the beautiful city of Pokhara is not that far from Muktinath (few hours ride), you can take the opportunity to visit Pokhara on the way as well. Loosen yourself at Lakeside or party hard, whicher you like. Pokhara is arguably Nepal’s top tourist destination.
